Cartier Trinity Cultured Pearl and Diamond Necklace
Cartier is one of the world’s leading providers of jewellery and watches, with an impeccable taste and design. The brand was founded in 1847 in Paris by 27-year-old Louis-Francois Cartier. He took over his jewellery master’s shop and started his eponymous brand. Louis-Francois’s sons helped take Cartier from a respectable Parisian jewellery house to a global phenomenon by becoming involved in the company. A timeless aesthetic imprint and a high level of craftsmanship make Cartier a legendary brand. The company adheres to the motto of Louis Cartier, the nephew of the founder: “Never imitate, always innovate.”.
Jewellery and watches from Cartier are popular with royalty. Alfred Cartier, the son of the company’s founder, was nicknamed the “King of Jewellers” by King Edward VII of Great Britain. In the course of time, this enabled Cartier to make a name for itself both on the Old Continent and in the New World, and also to win the hearts of the rich Maharajahs of India. As such, a number of famous personalities are also captivated by the magic of Cartier, and it appears no one can resist the appeal of this luxury brand.
This Cartier Trinity Cultured Pearl and Diamond Necklace is part of the Cartier Trinity collection. It launched in 1924 when the Trinity ring was designed by Louis Cartier for the legendary French writer and artist Jean Cocteau. Following the success of the Trinity ring, Trinity bangle was designed in the 1930s. In the 1960s, the model of the intersecting three links became with Hollywood icons such as Grace Kelly and Gary Cooper. There is substantial symbolism to the tree interlocking rings, or interlocking bangles in the case of Trinity bracelets. It is said that ring is inspired by the Celtic knot, the symbol of eternity whether this means loyalty, faith, friendship or love. In the case of the Trinity collection, the white gold represents enduring friendships, rose gold represents true love, while yellow gold represents fidelity and loyalty.
